DXonJet has enabled its wall-mounted UV printer to create relief images directly on the wall.

In September 2025, DXonJet introduced a new technology for its vertical UV printer: Inkjet Relief Printing. It enables the application of UV-curable ink directly onto a vertical surface in layers, creating not only a standard flat image but also a tactile 2.5D/3D relief.

What has changed

A standard wall printer transfers a digital photograph or drawing directly onto a surface. DXonJet has added the capability to apply multiple layers of UV ink, creating a slight physical thickness to the image.

As a result, the surface is not completely flat—individual elements of the design can be felt with the fingers. The manufacturer calls this technology 2.5D/3D relief printing.

The system uses an Epson i3200 printhead, and the UV ink cures immediately during the application process. DXonJet notes that the technology is designed for various vertical surfaces, including wood, glass, and concrete.

What you can do with an embossing seal

For the average user, what matters most is not the technical specifications, but the final result.

For example, the technology can be used for:
- decorative images on the walls;
- embossed logos;
- textured interior elements;
- artistic panels;
- signs;
- tactile elements;
- special markings for people with visual impairments.

DXonJet specifically highlights the capability to produce Braille signage—tactile signs featuring Braille.

On what surfaces can you print?

The company positions its vertical printer as a system for direct printing onto various surfaces.

Among the announced materials are:
- walls, concrete, wood, and glass, while the technology itself is designed for vertical surfaces.

This means that the device can potentially be used not only for home decor but also for the interior design of cafes, shops, hotels, offices, and other spaces.

Which model is being used?

It is important here not to give the reader the wrong impression.

DXonJet did not unveil a separate new model on September 29, 2025.

The company's official website identifies the VPJet4.0 UV Wall Printer as its current flagship system. DXonJet notes that this is the fourth generation of its vertical wall printer. The model is equipped with an Epson i3200 printhead, CMYK + White UV inks, and a wall-distance control system.

According to the company's history, the VPJet4.0 itself was developed and launched on international markets back in 2023.

VPJet4.0 Specifications

On the current product page, DXonJet states:
- Epson i3200;
- UV-curable LED inks;
- CMYK + White;
- nozzle resolution up to 2400 dpi;
- a maximum print height of 450 cm;
- virtually unlimited width;
- speed up to 5 m²/h;
- two ultrasonic sensors for determining the shape of the wall.

Thus, relief printing represents a new functional evolution of the existing platform rather than a separate new printer for 2025.
