Fiido has unveiled the new Nomads Pro electric bike, designed for both daily city commuting and longer journeys. The model was introduced on June 24, 2026. Its standout feature is a mid-drive electric motor with a claimed torque of 100 Nm.
Fiido positions the Nomads Pro as a bike designed to combine two use cases: everyday city riding and riding on hilly roads, gravel, and uneven surfaces.
100 Nm mid-drive motor
Unlike many urban e-bikes with a hub motor, the Nomads Pro uses a mid-drive system.
The motor is located near the bottom bracket—that is, closer to the center of the bike. According to Fiido, this allows for better weight distribution and makes the bike more balanced while riding.
The torque is 100 Nm. This characteristic is particularly important when starting on a hill, driving with an additional load, and traveling up inclines.
At the same time, 100 Nm is specifically the maximum stated torque, not an indicator of the bicycle's top speed.

Removable battery and expandability
The Nomads Pro is equipped with a removable 417.6 Wh battery. Fiido employs a proprietary battery mounting design that allows the battery system to be expanded with additional batteries.
This can be useful for various scenarios.
For daily city riding, you can use the standard configuration without increasing the bike's weight, while additional batteries can be added before a long-distance trip.
Fiido calls this specific approach the "1+2 system"—one main battery and the option to expand with two additional ones.

Suspension for rough roads
An air suspension unit with 120 mm of travel is installed at the front.
This is significantly more than what a standard city bike typically requires. That is why the Nomads Pro is designed for more than just smooth asphalt.
Fiido envisions the bike being used on gravel roads, uneven terrain, and touring routes.
It is also equipped with 29-inch wheels, designed to ensure a smoother ride over uneven terrain and stability on long routes.
Torque sensor
The Nomads Pro has received a torque sensor.
It detects the effort the cyclist applies to the pedals and allows the system to adjust the electric assistance according to the rider's effort.
For the user, this means a more natural feel to the electric motor's operation: the assistance does not simply kick in at a fixed level but can vary depending on how hard the rider pedals.
Four-piston hydraulic brakes
Fiido uses 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes for stopping. The manufacturer positions them as a solution for confident braking across various operating conditions.
This is particularly important for a heavy touring bicycle, as the bike's weight increases with the addition of extra equipment and batteries.
What does a real-world drive reveal?
Later, Fiido published the results of the ride conducted by GCN en Français.
During a two-day bikepacking trip using two Nomads Pro bikes, ranges of approximately 75 km and 85 km were achieved on a single standard battery. Meanwhile, Fiido cites its own test figure of around 74.85 km for the 417.6 Wh battery.
This is a good example of why an e-bike's claimed range should not be viewed as a guaranteed distance.
- cyclist's weight;
- relief;
- speed;
- electric assist level;
- tire pressure;
- temperature;
- road surface;
- wind.
How much does Nomads Pro cost in Europe?
The Nomad Pro is currently featured as a new model on the European Fiido website.
The price at the time of checking is €1,999.
This is significantly higher than the price of a standard Fiido city e-bike, but the model is designed for a different use case: a combination of daily commuting, touring, and more challenging routes.
Who is the Fiido Nomads Pro designed for?
The Nomads Pro is primarily worth considering for those who need a single e-bike for various tasks.
- In the city: work, shopping, daily commutes.
- For the weekend: a trip to the countryside, gravel roads, a tourist route.
- While traveling: the option to increase energy capacity with additional batteries.
However, for exclusively short city trips, such a design might be overkill: a 120mm air suspension, a powerful mid-drive motor, and the option to install extra batteries are far from necessary for everyone.
Key Points
The Fiido Nomads Pro stands out not for its top speed or massive battery, but for a combination of features: a 100 Nm mid-drive motor, a torque sensor, 120mm front suspension, 29-inch wheels, and an expandable battery system.
