Grok 4.5 from xAI (SpaceXAI) is the most powerful and efficient model to date.

July 2026. xAI (now part of SpaceXAI) has released Grok 4.5, its new flagship AI model. It is the smartest and fastest version of Grok to date, specifically designed for coding, agentic tasks, and intelligent knowledge work.

What's new in Grok 4.5

It places a strong emphasis on real-world engineering and code . The model was trained in collaboration with the Cursor team using vast amounts of data spanning programming, science, engineering, and mathematics. It excels at multi-step development tasks, debugging, and creating fully functional applications from a single prompt.

High speed and efficiency . It operates at a speed of approximately 80 tokens per second and uses about half as many tokens as comparable leading models for the same tasks. This makes it one of the most cost-effective options available.

Context window — up to 500,000 tokens.

Adjustable reasoning level (low / medium / high; default: high).

Low hallucination rate and strong agentic capabilities (tool calling, web search, X search, code execution, etc.).

Pricing (API)

- $2 per 1 million input tokens

- $6 per 1 million output tokens

- (prices are higher for long contexts of ≥ 200k tokens)

What's next?

Elon Musk has already announced the next updates: Grok 4.6 is expected about two weeks after July 24, and Grok 4.7 in four weeks. xAI continues to maintain a very rapid release pace.
