Xiaomi SU7: Xiaomi's electric sedan prepares for European market launch

The Xiaomi SU7 is Xiaomi's first production vehicle—an all-electric sedan launched by the company in China in March 2024. In March 2026, Xiaomi unveiled a new generation of the SU7 featuring updated technology, a revised powertrain, and a redesigned interior.

However, there is an important point for European buyers: the Xiaomi SU7 cannot yet be officially purchased in Europe. Xiaomi’s global website explicitly states that the SU7 and SU7 Ultra are not currently sold outside of China. The company plans for Xiaomi Auto to officially enter the European market in 2027. SU7 vehicles were previously showcased at IFA in Berlin in September 2026, and Xiaomi has begun preparing a European dealer network.

The new SU7 is available in three versions: Standard, Pro, and Max. In China, their starting prices are 219,900, 249,900, and 303,900 yuan, respectively. These are Chinese prices, so they cannot be directly applied to the future European cost.

The vehicle's key features are its large traction battery and electric powertrain. Depending on the version, the driving range reaches 720 km for the Standard, 902 km for the Pro, and 835 km for the Max, based on the Chinese CLTC cycle. This is not the WLTP cycle, so these figures cannot be directly compared with European official specifications.

The SU7 is also designed for fast charging, thanks to its high-voltage architecture. The Max version features a platform rated at approximately 897 V, while the Standard and Pro versions use one rated at around 752 V. Xiaomi employs its proprietary HyperEngine series electric motors and vehicle electronic control systems.

The vehicle features an extensive suite of electronic driver-assistance systems, cameras, and sensors. Xiaomi is developing its own Xiaomi Pilot system, which integrates cameras, radars, and other sensors. However, the presence of these systems does not imply fully autonomous driving; the driver must control the vehicle in accordance with the requirements of the specific mode.

Various colors are available for the SU7 body. Options for the new generation include Pearl White, Obsidian Black, Meteor Blue, Lava Orange, and Basalt Gray, as well as the new Capri Blue, Crimson Red, and Indigo Green. The color selection depends on the version and market.
