Rumors about the announcement of Google's Gemini 4 Argon model were not confirmed.

References have appeared online regarding a piece titled "Gemini 4 Argon: our next era of frontier intelligence," allegedly published on Google's blog. However, a check of official channels reveals that no such publication exists, and the Gemini 4 Argon model has not been announced by the manufacturer.

As of today, the official development timeline of the Gemini family looks different. The first generation of multimodal neural networks, Gemini 1.0, was introduced in December 2023 in three configurations: Ultra, Pro, and Nano.

Later, in February and May 2024, the Gemini 1.5 Pro and Flash models were released. The key features of the 1.5 series were high performance and support for a long context window ranging from 1 to 2 million tokens.

In December 2024, Google launched Gemini 2.0 Flash / Thinking. This is the current generation of models, designed for the agent era. It supports built-in reasoning capabilities (Thinking), real-time image and audio generation, and integration with various tools.
