Vixen S1000: a digital microscope that reveals the hidden microworld

The Japanese company Vixen has introduced the new S1000 portable digital microscope, designed for use at home, at school, and during various hobbies.

The microscope features its own 4.3-inch screen, so it does not require a computer or smartphone to operate. Users can view the magnified image directly on the display and save photos.

The Vixen S1000 offers magnification ranging from 50× to 1000× and is equipped with a 2 MP digital camera and an eight-LED illumination system. A built-in battery allows the device to be used without a constant mains connection.

A microscope like this can be of interest to more than just schoolchildren. It allows you to examine leaves, insects, seeds, minerals, coins, fabrics, and small details—things that cannot be seen in detail with the naked eye.

The Vixen S1000 went on sale on August 4, 2026.

Important: The Vixen S1000 is a digital microscope, not an AI microscope; the manufacturer does not claim that this model features artificial intelligence capabilities.
